4 Ways To Do Natural Hair When You Are Depressed

Depression is a serious illness that effects an individual's quality of life. Depression comes in many forms and effects everyone differently. Some people find it very hard to keep up their appearance while depressed and need simple ways to do so. Here are four relatively easy styles that can be worn for a good length of time. It is okay to experience difficulty with managing your hair when you are not at your best. If these style are difficult for you, it is alright.



1. Milk Braids

Milk braids are two braids that are pinned toward the back of your head. If you are unable to braid to the scalp, simply part your hair down the middle, braid the two sections and pin them.


2. Chunky Twists

This is a protective style that can last for an entire week or more. If energy allows, there are more ways to style them, like adding hair jewelry or making a bun.


3. Goddess Twists

Similar, to the milk braids above, the goddess twists are easy protective style. However, if you are unable to twist to the scalp making twists in to sections and trying to pull them back may be too puffy. Unless, of course, you enjoy puffy hair!


4. Hair Wraps

This is, in my opinion, the easiest style to do when you have no energy to do your hair. There are so many ways to wrap your hair available on YouTube.
