ABOUT ME

Hi there. I'm @napturaihair from twitter. I began my natural hair journey in 2015 by cutting my hair off after transiting for a while. I struggled with being natural at first because straight hair was all that I knew how to manage. I had been getting my hair relaxed since middle school and before that I wasn't in charge of my hair. Trial and error became my go to in regards to my hair. In the beginning of 2016 I started to research and learn how to care for my hair and finally I got the hang of it.

One day while speaking to an old friend of mine, she mentioned that while she was on Instagram she noticed how natural hair pages at the time were only posting certain hair types. I looked and she was right. There hair was natural, but it wasn't our natural. After joking with her about starting my own page I actually did in June of 2016. Now in August of 2018 I have expanded to a blog. Thank you to those who have started with me and hello to those who are just finding me.
